Join the Canadian Geothermal Industry Alliance for the Geothermal Project Showcase Forum

Date: Nov 20, 2025
Location: Edmonton, Alberta

About the Event

The Canadian Geothermal Industry Alliance (CGIA) invites you to an informative and inspiring afternoon forum showcasing some of the most promising geothermal projects across Canada — all scheduled to launch or be completed by June 2027.

This event will bring together innovators, industry leaders, and government representatives to explore how geothermal energy can help power Alberta’s future and strengthen Canada’s clean energy economy.

Event Goals

  • Promote: Collaborate to identify ways that government, industry, and investors can accelerate geothermal deployment. Discussions will focus on policy tools and financial supports—such as tax credits, grants, and targeted incentives—that reduce risk and attract private investment. Together, participants will outline next steps to turn these ideas into tangible projects across Alberta and beyond.

  • Educate: Demonstrate the vast untapped potential of geothermal energy in Canada.

  • Inspire: Highlight how geothermal development supports local communities, creates jobs, and contributes to a resilient Canadian economy.

  • Showcase: Present world-class geothermal projects under development, focusing on cost-effectiveness, technology readiness, project timelines, and funding progress.

Who's Presenting

Up to five CGIA member companies with geothermal projects in or near Alberta will be invited to present.
Each presentation will spotlight unique innovations, project milestones, and the vision behind Canada’s next generation of geothermal developments.

Evaluation & Discussion

An expert evaluation panel — including geothermal specialists, project managers, financiers, and government representatives — will engage with presenters through Q&A sessions to deepen understanding and promote collaboration across the industry.

Event Format

  • Introduction to the Geothermal landscape, what’s needed for success in Canada

  • Short presentations by each participating company

  • Open Q&A and discussion with attendees

  • Constructive feedback from peers and industry experts
